MATCH PREVIEW | St Helens next up for Rhinos Women
Leeds Rhinos Women head to The BrewDog Stadium this Sunday afternoon as Lois Forsell's side take on the unbeaten St Helens in round five of the Betfred Women's Super League, kick off 12pm.
After falling out of the Challenge Cup semi-finals to Saints earlier in the year, the Rhinos look to continue a run of three wins in the league so far after a convincing trip to Barrow last weekend. Saints are on a winning streak of their own heading into the final three games before the season splits, as they have four wins from four so far in their league campaign.

Opposition
Despite losing the Challenge Cup Final in the middle of their spotless 2026 league season, St Helens remain one of the favourites to be back in the Super League Grand Final come October as they look for their first league title since 2021.
Having fallen short of lifting the trophy, particularly in the last two Grand Finals, Derek Hardman's side have made a statement in the first half of the 2026 season, currently sitting joint-top of the table with reigning treble winners Wigan Warriors, with four wins from four games. With the exception of their loss to the Warriors at Wembley at the end of May, the Saints have been ruthless in Cup wins against Huddersfield, Catalans, Barrow and Leeds in the semi finals, before entering the league where they started with a 42-6 demolition of the Raiders in round one.
The Red Vee have faced their challenges, particularly against York and Huddersfield either side of the Cup Final, as a late Dani McGifford score saved an 18-14 result at the LNER Community Stadium. The star winger leads the scoring for Saints this campaign as the Welsh international is on course to beat her tally of 22 tries in 2025 as she has 14 so far (the second most by a player in the competition this year).
After securing a 28-20 score against the Giants, normal service resumed last weekend as a 46-0 triumph over Featherstone on the road made sure Saints continued to keep pace with Wigan, but the next two weeks will be crucial as they face both the Rhinos and Warriors. Sunday's game against the Rhinos sees the home side come in with form, having won three and drawn one against Leeds in the last five meetings between the clubs. Since meeting for the first time in 2018, matches have been tight over the last seven years as out of 17 matches, Leeds have six wins (five of which have come on the road against Saints), whilst the Red Vee have nine wins in total.
